Sacred Heart Parish
Parish Ministries

Sacred Heart Parish ministries include: Music Ministry, Liturgical Committee, Bereavement Committee, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, and altar servers

Our parish has an active Music Ministry that serves the liturgy and is used as a sign, not only to declare what we believe, but also through participation, to help nurture the faith it seeks to express.  At present we have a Children's Choir (click here for children's schedule), a Teen Choir (click here for LifeTeen/Youth schedule) and an Adult Choir (click here for adult schedule) and Cantors.

The Liturgical Committee meets regularly to develop prayerful liturgies for the Masses, as well as Retreats, Children's Liturgies, etc.

Sacred Heart Bereavement Committee was recently established.  This is a group of parishioners who volunteer to meet with a member or members of the deceased person's family and plan the funeral liturgy, including readings, music, etc.

Sacred Heart Parish has a very dedicated group of Eucharistic Ministers who assist in the distribution of the Eucharist at all the Liturgies and at the hospital, or homes when requested.*

The Lectors in our parish are also a dedicated group of volunteers who declare the Word of God at our Liturgies.*

*  Both Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors serve on a rotating basis.  Our Eucharistic Minister and Lector Schedules are mailed out every three months.

We have a rotating Altar Server Schedule.  The altar servers begin training in the fourth grade and continue to serve into their high school years.  Our parish also has some adult altar servers who assist at the Masses when the younger servers are not available.
